Register now for Anglican Deacons Canada's 2021 virtual conference which takes place July 9-10, 2021!

This national gathering will be a wonderful opportunity to connect with deacons (and others who are engaged in diaconal ministries and support the diaconate) from across Canada and beyond.

We are particularly pleased that deacons from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) will be joining us for this event. (The Anglican Church of Canada and the ELCIC are in full communion).

The conference theme is "Deacons in a Pandemic & its Aftermath: Coming Together in Virtual Community."

Special guests include the Most Rev. Linda Nicholls (Primate of Anglican Church of Canada) and the National Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC), the Rev. Susan Johnson. Participants will be able to take part in one of three webinars and engage in two smaller group discussions in breakout groups.  Topics for the three webinars include: migrant farm workers, prejudice & equity, as well as, truth and reconciliation with indigenous peoples.

We are extremely grateful to the College of Deacons of the Diocese of Niagara who have organized this event and will be doing the video hosting.

The Bishop of Niagara, the Rt. Rev. Susan Bell, will bring greetings to conference participants as will Deacon Tracie Middleton (President, Association for Episcopal Deacons) and Diaconal Minister Tedd Dodd, President of Diakonia of the Americas and the Caribbean (DOTAC), an ecumenical and international network of organizations (including ADC).

With no travel and accommodation costs to worry about this two-day conference is a bargain at $30 per person.
